Verbatim Scoping, located just outside of Houston TX, is a professional scoping and proofreading organization. We pride ourselves on word-for-word accuracy and superior grammar, spelling, and punctuation on all court proceedings and deposition transcripts.

Because we are a small network of professionals who establish a personal relationship with each client, we are able to adapt to each reporter's unique style and preferences. We can always work within your timeframe to complete jobs without compromising quality.

Our Associates

Verbatim scopists have specialized knowledge in the following fields: Product liability litigation, Wrongful death, Manslaughter, Capital murder, Narcotics smuggling, Civil and criminal trials at both the State and Federal Court levels, maritime, patent and copyright infringement, family law, accidents and/or personal injury and medical (including asbestosis, silicosis, and malpractice) but are comfortable working with transcripts from any field.

In addition to completing formal training given by experienced court reporters and attending courses led by certified caseCAT trainers, each of our associates works continually with a professional mentor and has at least three of the following qualifications:

Published author
High school or college level language teaching experience
Bachelor’s degree in English or a foreign language
Master’s degree in English
Proficiency in at least one foreign language

Our Technology

Verbatim scopists utilize both CaseCATalyst and Eclipse NT editing software (always the most recent versions) though we can work with any CAT system utilizing ASCII or RTF files. We can download digital audio or .wav files via T3 (or any other WhaleMail®-type system) using high-speed internet. If you prefer, we will work from standard or micro-cassettes on any speed.
